Participants included local villagers, farmers, potential treatment plant operators and municipal representatives.

Dr I. Papadopoulos was invited by EMWIS (Euro-Mediterranean Information System on the know-how in the Water sector) to make a presentation on: "Sustainable urban wastewater treatment and reuse in the agriculture" for the EMWIS Promotion Seminar that took place in Nicosia on 29th October, 2004. With this presentation Dr Papadopoulos had the opportunity to present the MEDAWARE project.
