of the Project
Environment Quality Authority (EQA) organized a workshop
about the urban wastewater treatment plants and reuse in the
urban areas. The workshop
(Agenda)
took place in Palestine on the 23th and 24th of April, 2005.
Two workshops (Selected
photos) were held in El Jadida (Morocco) on the 26th and 27th of May
2005 (Wastewater Treatment on the 26th and Wastewater Reuse
on the 27th).
A workshop

Technologies) was held on the 21st and 22nd of June, 2005
at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of the American
University of Beirut, under the title "Workshop on Wastewater
Treatment and Reuse in the Mediterranean Countries".
The first Jordanian training workshop
(list of
photos, PRESENTATIONS) of the MEDAWARE project took place
on 29th -30th June, 2005 at the Radisson SAS Hotel in Amman,
Jordan.
A training workshop for farmers (list of photos 1, list of photos 2) took place in Jordan on the 8th of March, 2006. Farmers, growers and interested people visited the Ar-Ramtha treatment station at Ramtha and fields in that area (about 20km northeast of Irbid). There were fields irrigated with treated wastewater and field experiments about the resuse at that location. Dr. Munir, Dr. Hameed, Dr. Fatta and key figure researchers and officials at site have spoken to the crowd in Arabic.
In the framework of MEDAWARE Project, a workshop
(list of photos) has
been organized by the Agricultural Research Institute of Cyprus
(ARI). The workshop took place at the premises of the ARI
in Nicosia, on July 23rd, 2005
Dissemination workshops regarding the MEDWARE project and its results were held in Foca - Izmir on the 15th of May, 2006, at Kalyon Hotel in Istanbul on the 10th May , 2006 and in Urfa in April of 2006
A training program for farmers on the urban wastewater treatment and reuse technologies has been organized by the Environment Quality Authority (EQA) in cooperation with the Palestinian Hydrology Group (PHG)
A one day workshop was organized within the framework of the Moroccan Association of Limnology (newspaper, photos). |
